Fun people. Countless booths. Tons of Beer. Do I really have to say anything more?
Here at Tumbleweed Texstyles, we like to think we know how to have a good time. We’re always up for popping open a cold one—so much that we think we should just about qualify as ameteur connoisseurs of craft beer. (Not a bad addition to our Texas repertoire.) This fall, we took to Denver to join up with over 60,000 other beer enthusiasts like us for an awesome event none other than the 35th Annual Great American Beer Festival.
Founded by the Brewers Association in 1982, GABF is a yearly three-day event which invites beer experts and brew newbies alike to sample thousands upon thousands of American craft beers, meet fellow appreciators, and celebrate in the festive culture of the event.
After all the beers are tapped out, medals are awarded to breweries who judges decide serve the best beer in one of the various 92 categories, from American-Style Wheat Beer to Belgian-Style Fruit Beer to Pumpkin Spice Beer. Personally, with over 700 breweries collectively serving over 3600 beers, it’s hard to pick a favorite.
